Adana Pharmacists Chamber President We do not want to say there is no medicine for patientsAdana Pharmacists' Chamber President Pharmac. Ö. Mürsel Yalbuzdağ said, "The increasing 'medicine shortages' should not be the problem of only pharmacists and patients, public authorities should solve this issue."
"MEDICINE SHOULD BE AVAILABLE"
Adana Pharmacists' Chamber President Pharmac. Ö. Mürsel Yalbuzdağ, who said that 'medicine shortages' victimize both pharmacists and patients, and that medicines should be available, made a statement on behalf of the Board of Directors and said, "We are pharmacists working in 30 thousand pharmacies, even in the most remote corners of Turkey.
With our perspective that prioritizes health, we work devotedly 24/7 for our citizens' access to medicines and pharmacy services. With this very sensitivity, we see it as a requirement of our profession to reveal the heartbreaking picture of access to medicines in our country today in all its nakedness.
Today, at this moment and at this hour, the problem of access to medicines is being experienced with all its severity in our country."
"ARE THERE REALLY NO MEDICATIONS?"
President Pharmacist Yalbuzdağ, who stated that pharmacists working in 30 thousand pharmacies in Turkey cannot provide medicines to their patients, said, “We apply to warehouses to find medicines for our citizens who come with their prescriptions. The answer we get is, “Unfortunately, there are none.” When you ask why there are none, companies say they send medicines to warehouses, but warehouses say the company does not receive medicines. The result? Pharmacists who cannot find medicine for their patients, sick citizens who are left with their prescriptions and cannot receive treatment. So, are there really no medicines?”
